1. Законодавство про медіацію ґрунтується на Конституції України і складається з цього Закону та інших нормативно-правових актів.
2. Якщо міжнародними договорами, згода на обов’язковість яких надана Верховною Радою України, передбачені інші правила, ніж ті, що встановлені цим Законом, застосовуються правила міжнародних договорів України.
